‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister on World Environment Day,

Chandigarh, September 17th: In continuation of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister on World Environment Day, June 5th, 2024, where he planted a Peepal tree sapling at Buddha Jayanti Park, New Delhi, CITCO further strengthened the initiative by organizing a one-day special plantation drive on September 17th, 2024. This drive took place across all its units, including Hotel Mountview, Hotel Shivalikview, Hotel Parkview, CITCO Petrol Stations, IDFC, Sukhna Lake and other Units. Led by Chief General Manager, CITCO , Sh. Amit Kumar, DANICS, the initiative aimed to strengthen environmental conservation and promote awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change.
According to the Managing Director, CITCO , Sh. Hari Kallikkat IAS , “This plantation drive reflects our commitment to environmental sustainability. Through our collective efforts, we are not only contributing to Chandigarh’s green cover but also promoting the message of honoring nature in line with the Prime Minister’s vision.” The event saw active participation from employees, guests, and volunteers, with a wide variety of saplings planted across CITCO properties.
