पंचकूला, 5 सितम्बर : उपायुक्त एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी डा. यश गर्ग ने विधानसभा आम चुनाव 2024 को स्वतंत्र, निष्पक्ष और शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से आयोजित करवाने के लिए लघु सचिवालय के सभागार में वीडियो कांफ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से अन्य प्रदशों के सीमावर्ती जिलों के उपायुक्त और पुलिस अधीक्षक के साथ आयोजित बैठक की अध्यक्षता की।
बैठक में हिमाचल प्रदेश के सिरमौर, सोलन और बद्दी, पंजाब के मोहाली और चंडीगढ़ के अधिकारियों ने हिस्सा लिया।
बैठक का उद्देश्य जिला के साथ लगते अन्य प्रदेशों के जिलों/ केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में आपसी तालमेल स्थापित करना और शराब, नशीले पदार्थ, हथियार, नकदी व अवांछित व्यक्तियों की आवाजाही पर रोक लगाना था।
डा. यश गर्ग ने कहा कि चुनाव आयोग द्वारा प्रदेश में हरियाणा विधानसभा आम चुनाव 2024 निर्धारित है। आज 5 सितंबर से चुनाव का नोटिफिकेशन जारी हो चुका है। पांच अक्तूबर को मतदान और आठ अक्तूबर को मतगणना की जाएगी। उन्होंने चुनाव को शांतिपूर्वक ढंग से संपन्न करवाने के लिए शराब, नशीले पदार्थ, हथियार, नकदी व अवांछित व्यक्तियों की आवाजाही पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए सख्त सतर्कता के महत्व को रेखांकित किया।
जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि चंडीगढ़ में शराब का कोटा ज्यादा है और रेट भी कम हैं। ऐसे में चुनाव के दौरान चंडीगढ़ से शराब की सप्लाई पर विशेष निगरानी रखने की आवश्यकता है । चुनाव आयोग के सख्त निर्देश हैं कि अवैध शराब की सप्लाई ना हो। उन्होंने कहा कि जीरकपुर से एनडीपीएस / ड्रग्स की मूवमेंट पर विशेष निगाह रखी जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि उपायुक्त मोहाली द्वारा इस संबंध में आवश्यक कदम उठाए जाएं। इसी प्रकार अपराधियों, अवांछित लोगों और भगोड़ों को चुनाव के दौरान चुनावी क्षेत्र में आने से रोका जाए। उन्होंने जिला में कालका व पंचकूला विधानसभा के चुनाव को शांतपूर्वक ढंग से करवाने के लिए आपसी सहयोग की अपील की।
पुलिस उपायुक्त हिमाद्री कौशिक ने चुनाव के दौरान कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखने और ड्रग्स और अन्य प्रतिबंधित पदार्थों की आवाजाही को रोकने के लिए विभिन्न बिन्दुओं पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान में पुलिस द्वारा नौ इंटर डिस्ट्रिक्ट नाके लगाए गए हैं। इनमें से सात अन्य प्रदेशों की साथ लगती सीमा पर स्थापित किए गए हैं। इनमें पंचकूला के सेक्टर 17-18 पर, मौली जागरा और मनीमाजरा, पंजाब के जीरकपुर, रामनगर और पीर मुछल्ला और हिमाचल प्रदेश के बद्दी पर नाके शामिल हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि चुनाव से 72 घंटे पूर्व नाकों की संख्या बढ़ा दी जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इस दौरान जिला के सीमा पर संयुक्त रूप से नाका लगाया जाए ताकि दूसरे प्रदेश से शराब, अन्य नशा, पैसा, हथियार को आने से रोका जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि नाकों पर सीएपीएफ तैनात है और उनके द्वारा चेकिंग भी की जा रहा है। सभी नाकों पर सीसीटीवी की व्यवस्था भी की जा रही है ताकि किसी भी तरह की अवैध गतिविधियों पर पैनी नज़र रखी जा सके।
इस मौके पर अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त सचित गुप्ता, डीईटीसी एक्साइज आरके चौधरी , डीईटीसी सेल्ज हनीश गुप्ता, चुनाव नायब तहसीलदार अजय राठी सहित अन्य अधिकारीगण उपस्थित रहे।

Panchkula, September 5: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Dr. Yash Garg, chaired a video conference meeting today with senior administrative and police officers from neighboring border districts to discuss the conduct of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Elections 2024. The meeting took place in the Mini Secretariat conference hall.
Participants included Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police from Sirmaur, Solan, and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh, Mohali in Punjab, and Union Territory Chandigarh.
Dr. Garg emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to enhance coordination among the border districts to monitor and control the movement of liquor, drugs, weapons, cash, and unwanted individuals.
He said that the Election Commission has scheduled the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Elections 2024. The election notification was issued today. Voting will occur on October 5, with the vote counting scheduled for October 8. Dr. Garg stressed the importance of rigorous monitoring to ensure a peaceful election process.
The District Election Officer highlighted that the availability (quota) of liquor in Chandigarh is high and prices are relatively low, necessitating extra vigilance to prevent its illegal distribution during the election period. He also pointed out the need to monitor drug trafficking from Zirakpur closely and urged the Deputy Commissioner of Mohali to take necessary actions. Additionally, he called for measures to prevent the entry of criminals and unwanted individuals into the district during the elections.
Smt. Himadri Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner of Police, outlined strategies for maintaining law and order during the elections and controlling the movement of banned substances. She reported that nine inter-district checkpoints (Nakas) have been established, seven of which are along the borders with neighboring states. These include checkpoints in Sector 17-18 Panchkula, Mauli Jagra and Manimajra, Zirakpur, Ramnagar and Peer Muchhalla in Punjab, and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.
Smt. Kaushik stated that the number of checkpoints will increase 72 hours before the election. Joint checkpoints would be set up at district borders to monitor the movement of liquor, drugs, cash, and weapons. The CAPF personnel are deployed at these checkpoints, with CCTV arrangements are being made to ensure close surveillance of any illegal activities.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sh Sachit Gupta, DETC Excise Sh RK Chaudhary, DETC Sales Sh Hanish Gupta, Election Naib Tehsildar Sh Ajay Rathi, and other officers.

Panchkula September 5: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sh Sachin Gupta chaired a meeting at Mini Secretariat here today regarding the upcoming National Deworming Day Round.
National Deworming Day will be celebrated on September 18, 2024 followed by its Mop up round on September 24 to cover left out children during National Deworming day.
It is celebrated to control the soil transmitted Helminths (Worm infestation) by providing Albendazole Tablets through the platform of school and Anganwadi Centres, Colleges and Polytechnic etc.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the prevalence of Soil transmitted helminthes (STH) is 42 per cent in Haryana and this issue needs to be addressed. The studies show that absenteeism in schools decreases by 25 per cent with regular deworming. Therefore, deworming tablets should be given to improve the overall Health of Children and adolescents, he added.
Dr Shivani, Deputy Civil Surgeon informed that all the children of 1-19 years of age in all the Government, Government Aided and Private Schools, play ways, Crèches, Government and Private colleges, ITI’s, Coaching centres along with the Anganwadis having registered, unregistered, out of School children will be covered in National Deworming Day Round by providing Tablet Albendazole.
She said that for 1-2 years of age, half tablet Albendazole (200mg) and for 2-19 years full tablet Albendazole (400mg) should be given to deworm all the children of 1-19 years of age along with Women of Reproductive age (20-24years) will also be covered during NDD Round.
She said that this tablet will improve child’s health, nutritional status and quality of life. Under this program approximately 1.95 lac children will be covered in district Panchkula. This tablet must be chewed instead of being swallowed for better effectiveness on Worms and should be administered under direct supervision of teachers and AWWs.
Dr Shivani said that worm infection could be prevented by washing hands, particularly before eating and after using toilets, using toilets, wearing slippers / shoes, drinking safe and clean water, eating properly cooked food, washing vegetables, fruits in safe and clean water and keeping nails short and clean.
While highlighting the benefit of deworming, she said that it decreases anemia and improves nutrition, children grow faster and stay healthier, increases resistance to infections, supports school attendance and improves child’s concentration and activity at school.
Officers of various stakeholders’ departments -Education, Women and Child Development also participated in the meeting.

राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस के तहत 18 सितम्बर को खिलाई जाएगी एल्बेंडाजोल की गोली
एक से 19 वर्ष के लगभग 1.92 लाख बच्चों को निशुल्क दवा खिलाने का रखा गया है लक्ष्य
पंचकूला सितंबर 5: जिला में 18 सितम्बर को राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस मनाया जाएगा। इस कार्यक्रम के तहत कृमि मुक्ति की दवा खिलाई जाएगी।
इस संबंध में अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त श्री सचिन गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में विभिन्न विभागों की जिला टास्क फोर्स की बैठक जिला सचिवालय के सभागार में आयोजित की गई ।
अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त ने बताया कि अभियान को लेकर जिले के सभी स्कूलों (सरकारी, गैर सरकारी व निजी स्कूलों, आंगनबाड़ी केंद्रों, कॉलेज, तकनीकी संस्थान,
ईंट भट्टों व स्लम एरिया में एक से 19 वर्ष के लगभग 1.92 लाख बच्चों को निशुल्क दवा खिलाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है ।
स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने सरकारी, निजी स्कूलों व आंगनबाड़ी केन्द्रों के बच्चों को इसके लिए चिन्हित कर लिया है।राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस मनाने के लिए 18 सितम्बर को एल्बेंडाजोल कि एक गोली सभी एक वर्ष से 19 वर्ष की उम्र के बच्चों को दी जाएगी। इसके अलावा, जो बच्चे किसी कारण से 18 सितम्बर को दवा खाने से छूट जाएंगे उन्हें 24 सितम्बर 2024 को मॉप उप राउंड के तहत यह दवा खिलाई जाएगी ।
अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त ने कहा कि बच्चों के बेहतर स्वास्थ्य के लिए सभी विभाग आपसी सामंजस्य स्थापित करते हुए राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस कार्यक्रम में 1 से 19 वर्षतक के सभी बच्चों को तथा 20-24 वर्ष वाली महिलाएं को भी दवा खिलाना सुनिश्चित करें। माता-पिता भी अपने बच्चों को दवा खिलाकर उनका अच्छा स्वास्थ्य एवं उज्ज्वल भविष्य बनाने के लिए अपना सहयोग दें ।
इस मौके पर डॉ शिवानी , डिप्टी सिविल सर्जन ने बताया कि कृमि संक्रमण से बचाव के लिए प्रत्येक वर्ष फरवरी व अगस्त माह में राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के अंतर्गत अल्बेंडाजोल की गोली बच्चों को दी जाती है। उन्होने बताया कि कृमि संक्रमण से बच्चों में कुपोषण और खून की कमी होती है तथा थकावट होना, पढ़ाई में मन न लगना आदि व अधिक कृमि होने से जी मिचलाना, दस्त, पेट दर्द, कमजोरी, भूख न लगना जैसे लक्षण हो सकते है ।उन्होने अपील की कि हमेशा साफ पानी पिये, खाना ढक कर रखें, खुले में शौच ना करें और हमेशा शौचालय का प्रयोग ही करें ।
इस मौके पर स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अधिकारियों के साथ-साथ महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग, शिक्षा विभाग व अन्य विभागों के अधिकारी मौजूद रहे ।
