Chandigarh, July 29- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal will launch ‘Har-Hith’ Store in Panchkula on August 2, 2021.  On this occasion Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Agriculture Minister, Sh. Jai Prakash Dalal, Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, Chairman and MLA of Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Ltd., Sh. Rakesh Daulatabad, Additional Chief Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Sumita Misra will also be present.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the ‘HarHith’ retail stores are to be opened by Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited and these stores will be able to cope with the ongoing market trends.  He said that the main objective of the State Government is to provide quality services to the consumers through these retail outlets.

 

Chandigarh, July 28 – Haryana Government has prepared a policy for interns named ‘Internship Policy for the State of Haryana’ to create awareness among the youth regarding the working of the State Government.

Under this policy, the State government will work to provide internship to talented youth in various departments, boards and corporations.  With this the youth will be able to understand from their first hand experience regarding the working of State Government and its departments and become partners in social and economic development.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the State Government has requested various educational institutions several times to allow the youth studying in their institutes to do internships in the departments of the Haryana Government. In view of this, the State Government has informed all the senior officers by formulating ‘Internship Policy for the State of Haryana’ so that all the departments, boards and corporations should strictly follow this policy.

 

Chandigarh, July 29 – Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar pal said that the Union Government has set a target to implement the National Education Policy-2020 by 2030. Taking initiatives towards the successful implementation of the education policy in Haryana, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has expressed his vision to implement it completely in the state by 2025. Apart from this, an in-principle agreement has been implemented to include NCC as an elective subject in colleges and a committee has been constituted for its implementation.

Sh. Kanwar Pal was interacting with media persons after interaction with various teaching and non-teaching organizations of Government and Government Aided colleges here today. Regarding opening of schools, he said that at present the situation arises due to COVID-19 is under control and the Classes from I to V in schools can be resumed in August if everything remains under control.

The Education Minister said that in the meeting held today, the demands of Haryana Private College (Aided College) Non Teaching Employees Union, Haryana Government Aided College Principal Association, College Teacher Association, Haryana Government College Teacher Association, All Government College, Ministerial Staff Association, Association of Extension Lecturer were discussed. He said that all their legitimate demands have been accepted, while some pending demands will be examined and their practicality will be ascertained.

Sh. Kanwar Pal informed that some associations have raised issues related to delay in college admission through online portal. Last year there was some delay in admissions due to the Corona pandemic but this time there will be no such problem, he assured.

He said that this portal would soon be linked with the Parivar Pehchan Patra so that it would be easy for the students to get various facilities including scholarships. He directed the officials to simplify the admission process in the second and third year of Graduation.

On the issue related to fee structure of Government aided colleges and universities for Scheduled Caste students, the Education Minister said that the rules of the Central Government should be considered in this regard. Also, such provision should be made in the scheme that the fees paid by the colleges and the university should be deducted from the scholarship and paid to the colleges and the remaining money should be transferred in the account of Students.

Several senior officers of the Department including Principal Secretary, Haryana Higher Education Department, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan and Director General, Sh. Vijay Singh Dahiya were present in the meeting.

 

Chandigarh, July 29- Haryana Government has notified the ‘Power Tariff Subsidy’ scheme under Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy-2020 with a view to ensure affordable power supply enterprises located in the State.

While giving further information regarding this, an official spokesperson of the Haryana Industries and Commerce Department said that the scheme will be applicable with effect from January 1, 2021 and would be in operation till it is superseded by the government.

He said that all existing and new enterprises situated in ‘C’ and ‘D’ category blocks of the State having connected load of 40 kW in ‘D’ category blocks and 30 kW in ‘C’ category blocks or less will get the benefit of Power Tariff Subsidy. The enterprise will be eligible for this benefit till it remains in production.

The spokesperson added that enterprises will not be required to apply for availing the benefit. The Power Companies/Utilities i.e. Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN/DHBVN) will provide this benefit by deducting the subsidy amount in the electricity bills. He said that the Director/Director General, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will be the competent authority for sanction of funds to UHBVN/DHBVN. The amount of Power Tariff subsidy granted by UHBVN/DHBVN will be reimbursed by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department from its allocated budget.

He said that if it is found at any stage that the applicant has claimed assistance on the basis of false facts, then the applicant will have to return the assistance amount with compound interest rate of 12 percent per annum and legal action will also be taken against him. In addition, he will be debarred from grant of any incentive/ assistance from the State Government. He said that if the applicant fails to refund the subsidy amount with interest, then the amount will be recovered as arrears of land revenue.

Chandigarh, July 29- On the occasion of completion of one year of implementation of National Education Policy-2020 in India, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi today launched various new initiatives for the Education Sector.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister addressed the Governors, Chief Ministers, Education Ministers and Educationists of the states.

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij and Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal also participated in this programme  through video conferencing from Chandigarh.

During the programme, the Prime Minister launched Vidya Pravesh, Indian Sign Language as a Subject and Nishtha 2.0.  Besides this, the Prime Minister also launched the Academic Bank of Credit that will provide multiple entry and exit options for students in Higher education, first-year engineering programmes in regional languages and guidelines for internationalization of higher education.

Similarly, other initiatives including SAFAL (Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning), a competency based assessment framework for Classes 3, 5 and 8 in CBSE schools, National Digital Education Architecture and National Education Technology Platform were also launched by the Prime Minister.

In his address, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi said that the National Education Policy-2020 will prove to be a strong foundation for a Atamnirbhar India.  It is the first Education Policy of the 21st century and replaces the 34 year old National Policy  Education (NPE),  of 1986.

He said that this New Education Policy is in line with the needs of the 21st century.  He said that the new initiatives launched today will play a big role in building India.

He said that the development of India depends on the young generation and education plays a pivotal role in taking the young generation on the right developmental track. That is why it is most important that right kind of education should being given to the youth today, added the Prime Minister.

He said that in the time of crisis of COVID-19 Pandemic, the importance of online education has been highlighted  and the method of education has changed.   The most important thing is that the students have rapidly adopted this change in education, he added.

He urged the teachers to contribute in the successful implementation of the Education Policy and educate the youth and take them forward towards nation building.

During  the programme, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal directed the  officers of the Education Department to ensure speedy implementation of the new initiatives initiated by the Prime Minister in the state  so that Haryana’s target of ensuring  successful implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) by the year 2025 can be completed.

On this occasion, Haryana Higher Education Council Chairman Prof. B K Kuthiala, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri D.S.  Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, Shri Mahavir Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri V. Haryana Police solve bank robbery case in few hours, recover booty

Chandigarh, July 29 – In a major break-through, Haryana Police has cracked the Rs 7.78 lakh bank robbery case within a few hours which took place in Sonipat district on the intervening night of July 27 and 28.

Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that police has also recovered a total of Rs 7,78,608 looted by the accused, identified as Rajneesh, a resident of village Juan in Sonipat.

Subhash, Manager of Cooperative Bank, Mohana filed a police complaint that some unidentified miscreants had looted Rs 7,78,608 from the bank.

Immediately after receipt of the information, a case was registered in Mohana police station. Police teams, working on the intelligence and other inputs, had cracked the case within a few hours of the crime being reported and recovered looted cash from the accused.

After registration of a case in this regard, the arrested accused was produced in the court which sent him in judicial custody.

 

2 inter-state drug peddlers held with 130 kg doda post

Chandigarh, July 29 – Haryana Police has arrested two inter-state drug peddlers and seized 130 kg of ‘doda post’ from their possession in Karnal district. The accused sourced the seized drug from Kota in Rajasthan.

Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that a team of Crime Investigation Agency, acting on credible information, established a naka on anjanthali-taraori road and signaled a vehicle to stop for checking after it was spotted moving in a suspicious manner. Instead of stopping, the driver tried to flee but was chased down and apprehended. When searched, police party recovered 13 bags weighing 130 kg doda post.

Arrested accused were identified as Surender Singh alias Sinder and Ajmer Singh.

Preliminary probe revealed that the accused brought the seized drugs from their contacts in Kota, Rajasthan and planned to supply it in small quantities in Punjab and other adjoining areas. Court had already convicted Surender in the NDPS case and sentenced him to 10 years jail. He was out of prison after completion of jail term.

In a separate case, 17 kg 200 gram ‘chura post’ was recovered from a container truck in Dadri district. Police found a hidden box in the driver’s cabin in which 18 small packets of durg were concealed. Both the arrested accused were identified as Ramkishan and Satyanarian.

Cases under the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were registered against them and further investigation is underway.
