Chandigarh, June 23 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has given the approval to issue the final notification regarding U upgradtaion of the status of Municipal Committee, Jhajjar to Municipal Council.
Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that the Council of Minister in its meeting held on January 3, 2020, has approved a proposal for upgradtaion of the status of Municipal Committee, Jhajjar to Municipal Council, for which the Chief Minister today gave the approval to issue the final notification in this regard.
Chandigarh, June 23 – Haryana Education Minister Mr. Kanwar Pal said that the State Government has decided not to conduct the examinations of all terminal examinations (final semesters) and Intermediate semester examinations for Higher and Technical Education of all courses.
The Students of these classes will be promoted to the next semester with 50 percent weightage of marks of internal assessment/ assignment plus 50 percent weightage of the marks in previous examinations. However, the students will have the option for examinations for improvement of grades later on by physical examinations basis once the normalcy prevails in the State. The same formula will also be applicable for distance education/private students.
Giving more information, the Education Minister said that if a University wishes, then it may conduct online examination if and only if the University Is fully prepared and equipped for the same and will also ensure that all students are able to take the online examinations. The students with academic arrears in previous examinations may also be exempted from examinations and are to be promoted to next semester and the reappear students are to be given marks on the average basis of the previous examinations for promotion. The same formula will also be applicable for distance education/private students.
The Education Minister said that for the first-year students only the internal assessment may be calculated for promotion to next year. He said that the practical examinations where ever not conducted so far in such cases the marks are to be awarded as an average of all previous practical examinations or the 80 percent average of theory examinations marks of previous semesters whichever is higher.
He said that Admissions to University Teaching Departments shall be conducted at individual University level whereas for undergraduate levels and postgraduate levels the Centralized Online admissions for the Colleges will be conducted by the Higher Education Department as per past practice.
The Education Minister informed that examination of students of final year, promotion of intermediate year’s students to next semester/ year, and awards of practical examinations in all the Polytechnics of the State will also be held in a similar manner. He said that the government has taken this decision after consultation of all the Vice-Chancellors with various stakeholders.
Chandigarh, June 23: Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that the State Government is constantly working for all round welfare of society through cooperation and for the same objective, the foundation stone of two Godowns and five Shops in Banipur village of Rewari were laid today. These development works are being carried out by Bawal Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) Limited and about Rs 80 lakh would be spent on these works.
On this occasion, the officials of the Cooperative Society apprised the Cooperation Minister saying that both the Godowns and five Shops will be ready in three months.
While giving instructions to the officers present, the Cooperation Minister said that the proper attention should be paid regarding the time frame and quality of construction work of these Godowns and Shops.
Dr. Banwari Lal said that the capacity of both the Godowns will be 500 Metric Ton. He said that after the construction of the Godowns, PACS will use it to store manure etc. These can also be used commercially when there is no storage of fertilizers. He said that after the construction of five shops, it can be given on rent to the youth residing in rural areas, which will also provide self-employment to the youth of rural areas. He said that farmers, PACS and nearby entrepreneurs will also benefit from the construction of these Godowns.
The Cooperation Minister also congratulated the villagers for these development works and extended his best wishes.
Chandigarh June 23: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has accorded administrative and financial approval for the procurement of 27 Advanced Life Support Ambulances and 47 Medical Mobile Units through Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited from the funds approved under the State Budget for the financial year 2020-21.
This was informed by an official spokesman here today.
Chandigarh, June 23: With the aim to spread awareness regarding various aspects of prevention of COVID-19, the Haryana School Education Board successfully conducted the second and final phase of the COVID-19 pandemic based online competition today.
Giving information about this, an official spokesperson said that 748 students participated in all three categories of the Essay competition in which 230 students from class VI to VIII, 253 from class IX to X and 265 from XI to XII participated. He said that earlier, the board had conducted the Quiz Contest in the first phase, in which 28,265 students participated and a total of 936 students were selected on the basis of merit for the second and final phase. In this way, the board has set a new record by conducting an online Quiz Contest and Essay competition, he added.
He said that the final result will be declared after evaluating the total marks obtained by the participants in all the stages of the competition.
Chandigarh, June 23 – Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. Jai Prakash Dalal said that the state government is taking several initiatives in the interest of farmers. Moving ahead on these lines, the state government has decided to provide subsidy on agricultural equipments for sowing of Kharif crops under the ‘Mera Pani, Meri Virasat’ scheme. Farmers will have to apply online by June 30, 2020 to avail this scheme.
Mr. Dalal informed here today that if we want future generations to inherit water, then we will have to be cautious from today. The state government is making earnest efforts for water conservation and many effective schemes have been implemented in this direction. In this series, ‘Mera Pani, Meri Virasat’ Scheme has been launched which aims to motivate farmers to grow alternate crops instead of paddy so that farmers can contribute towards the government’s mission of water conservation by shifting towards crop diversification. He said that the government’s intention is to save underground water. The farmers are being asked to avoid planting paddy in areas where the ground water level is below 40 metres, to prevent water crisis in future and to ensure that their land remains fertile.
The Agriculture Minister said that in order to attract farmers towards the ‘Mera Pani Meri Virasat’ Scheme, it has now been decided by the state government to give subsidy on agricultural equipments for sowing of Kharif crops as well. Farmers will have to apply online to avail the grant by June 30, 2020. He said that after the interested farmers have purchased the machines, it is mandatory to upload the bill, e-way bill, self declaration form and photo of the machine along with the farmer on the website of the department ‘www.agriharyana.in’ by June 30, 2020.
He informed that in the year 2020-2021, the Agriculture Department is giving subsidy on machines like Pneumatic Planter, Multicrop Maize Planter, Raised Bed Planter (Maize) etc. for sowing of Kharif crops. This grant will be given to farmers on a first come, first serve basis.
Mr. Dalal informed that 50 percent subsidy is to be given for scheduled castes, small, marginal and women farmers, and 40 percent or up to the maximum limit subsidy is to be given to big farmers. At the time of physical verification of the machines, the farmers will have to submit all the documents like application form, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Registration Certificate (RC) of the tractor, copy of bank passbook, land report and affidavit.
Chandigarh, June 23 – The Haryana Government has approved a proposal of the Town and Country Planning Department to set up a Sports Academy at village Shahpur in district Panipat with an aim to prepare national and international level sports persons in the district.
While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
He said that in this Sports Academy to be established on two acres of land, special emphasis would be given on further improving the skills of the budding wrestlers. This academy will immensely benefit the youth of the State especially of Panipat and nearby areas who are interested in the game of wrestling.
Chandigarh, June 23 – While taking yet another step towards further improving health care facilities in the State, in view of COVID-19 Pandemic, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval for engaging 110 Technical Apprentices of Pharmacist at all 22 District Civil Hospitals in the State.
Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that five Technical Apprentices Pharmacy per district hospital would be engaged under the Apprentices Act 1961 from the National Apprenticeship Training Program (NATP).
He said that under the Apprentices Act 1961, a monthly stipend of Rs. 8000 per technical apprentice is given out of which reimbursement at the rate of Rs. 1500 per month per apprentice is made by the Central Government.
He said that there are four Boards of Apprentices Training for the entire country at Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Kanpur. The Central Office of Northern Region is at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Chandigarh, June 23 – Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya said that keeping in view the quality of education in all the universities of the state, work will be done in the direction of making students self-reliant by including subjects related to livelihood in the educational curriculum.
Mr. Arya said this while interacting with President, Haryana State Higher Education Council, Professor B.K Kuthiala today. He also asked Mr. Kuthiala to give suggestions for the syllabus of universities and colleges to implement the subjects as per the need of modern times. The suggestions of the Higher Education Council will be implemented according to the expertise of the universities, he added.
Mr. Arya also stressed on expanding the scope of research work on subjects based on Indian Culture and Science & technology. He said that there is a need to provide maximum facilities to the students by setting up centres of excellence for education in university campuses for research work and employment-oriented education. Along with this, directions will be issued to the universities regarding strengthening digital platforms for online education, so that students can get a world-class education.
President, Haryana State Higher Education Council, Professor B.K. Kuthiala said that at present, youth need to be imbibed with tradition, culture and science and technology. Research work can be carried forward by connecting all these with advanced technology. Along with this, students can be made self-reliant by giving practical knowledge of life-related subjects during graduate-level classes in universities. The Haryana State Higher Education Council has also prepared ten practical subjects, which will benefit students by implementing them in graduate-level classes. On this occasion, Secretary to Governor, Dr. G. Anupama and Advisor to Governor, Mr. Akhilesh Kumar were also present.
Chandigarh, June 23 – Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dr. Sanjeev Balyan said that youth should come forward to promote fish farming as a part of Blue Revolution. Youth have a lot to learn in this area which can also strengthen their economic status.
He gave this information while visiting a private fishery farmhouse near Nimbri village in Panipat today.
Dr. Sanjeev Balyan said that under biofloc methodology used for fish farming, the fish is reared an artificial tank using modern techniques. Apart from this, fish farming is also being done using RAS and pond system techniques. He informed that under various schemes, Centre and State governments are giving 40 percent subsidy to the fisheries sector.
He told that a fisherman can rear fish two times a year. Vietnam, Singhi, and Roopchand fishes are used for fish rearing and are exported to other parts of the country and world. He also praised Bijendra Singh for adopting fish farming.
He said that the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi had announced an economic relief package of Rs. 20 lakh crore, to uplift the country from economic recession and to motivate the youth towards self-employment during the lockdown, wherein the Prime Minister had spoken about connecting people with fisheries and giving them related business under the Matsya Sampada Yojana.
Deputy Director, Rohtak, Fisheries Department, Mr. Atma Ram said that a grant of Rs 7.50 lakh is given for building five tanks for fish farming in the biofloc system, of which Rs 6 lakh is spent for the expenses of the tank etc. and Rs 1.50 lakh for other expenses. Apart from this, the first year lease money is also exempted under various schemes.
Chandigarh, June 23: In a bid to bring about qualitative improvement in the education of school students, Haryana has entered into an agreement with ‘Reliance Jio TV’ under Chief Minister ‘Distance Education Programme’ amid COVID-19.
Giving information about the same, Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal said that under the agreement made with Reliance Jio TV all the four channels of Eduset will now be available on Jio’s platform free of cost. He informed that the main objective of the State Government is to impart education to every school student in the present situation of Covid-19. With this new initiative of the government, students will be able to watch all four channels of Eduset through TV, laptop, desktop, tablet and mobile. Apart from this, the broadcast content on TV will be available on Geo-TV for a week so that the students can watch the same according to their convenience and time.
The Education Minister informed that this step of the State Government will benefit about 52 lakh Hindi and English medium students studying in government and private schools of the state under Haryana School Education Board, CBSE Board and other boards.
He informed that there are about 94 lakh subscribers of Jio in Haryana which makes it easy for most of the people of the state to access ‘Reliance Jio TV’.
He informed that separate educational material is relayed for the students of the State who are preparing for competitive examination of JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
Praising the Chief Minister’s ‘Distance Education Programme’ of the Haryana Government, the Education Minister said that even in the adverse conditions during Covid-19, the task of imparting necessary education to every student has been carried out. This ‘Distance Education Programme’ has been going on since April 15, 2020. The new agreement with the State Government’s Reliance Jio TV will benefit students from remote areas.
