Rrespect for India has increased globally – Kanwar Pal.

Chandigarh, May 29 – Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal said that respect for India has increased globally over the last six-year tenure of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.

Mr. Kanwar Pal said this while interacting with the intellectuals of the state through the social media on completion of one year of the second term of the Central Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.

While congratulating the people on this occasion, he said that the Prime Minister took many important steps even during his first term. The Jan Dhan Yojana was launched by the Central Government on 28 August 2014 to connect the people of the country to banking. Under this scheme accounts of more than 31 crore people were opened. Banks had set up camps across the country to open the bank accounts of the underprivileged people and connect them with banking facilities. In order to enable the poor of the country to cook food on the gas stove, the Central Government launched the Ujjwala Yojana under which the poor families living in rural areas were given free gas connections. The Central Government launched the Saubhagya Yojana in 2017 to provide electricity to every household. He said that for better medical treatment of every person of the country, the Central Government launched Ayushman Bharat Yojana, under which every member of poor families can get free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh annually in any government or private hospital.

Describing the second term of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi as important, Mr. Kanwar Pal said that the Central Government has taken the historic decisions in this term for Jammu and Kashmir. Along with taking steps to abrogate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, One Nation, One Constitution, One Flag has been implemented with the formation of two union territories as Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. He said that the second term of the present Central Government is full of historical achievements including abolishing Triple Talaq in the nation.

He said that with the formation of the government for the second time at the Center under the leadership of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, India’s relations with all the other countries have grown stronger and India has gained international recognition.

The Education Minister said that even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire country has united to fight the disease on the call of Mr. Modi. The decision of implementing the nationwide lockdown has saved the country from huge loss of public money, he added.

Describing the steps taken by the Central Government in the current circumstances as effective, he said that while an economic package was given for the welfare of the poor, an economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore has been announced for the general public. While calling the second term of the current Central Government as fruitful as the first term he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, the country is touching new heights of progress.

Chandigarh, May 29 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Dushyant Chautala directed the officers to prepare a cluster map of all 22 districts under the Kisan Sampada Yojana announced by the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for Mega Food Park, Cold Chain and Agro-Industry according to the productivity of fruits and vegetables and ensure to send it to the Union Ministry of Food Processing within 15 days.

The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with the officers of Union Food Processing Ministry through video conferencing here today. In the meeting, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing, Mr. Manoj Joshi apprised the Deputy Chief Minister about the subsidy being given to the states under various schemes of the Central Government. These include Micro Food Processing Unit, Agro Processing Cluster, Cold Chain, Backward-Forward Linkage, Operation Green and mainly the ‘One District-One Product’ Scheme recently announced by the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to enhance the productivity of fruits and vegetables in the country.

He said that projects can be set up in an area spread over 10 acres and a subsidy of 35 percent for plain areas, subsidy of 50 percent for remote areas is provided by the Central Government. A notification will be issued to the states in this regard by July 31. Besides, a semi-official letter has been written to the Chief Ministers of all the states by the Union Food Processing Minister. Sharing the details, Mr. Joshi revealed that they will have to set up a separate department for this and a director-level officer will have to be appointed as its nodal officer.

Mr. Dushyant Chautala told Mr. Joshi that he will soon write a letter seeking help from the Central Government under the ‘One District-One Product’ Scheme, stating that there is high productivity of onions in Nuh district, tomatoes in Bhiwani and Dadri, potatoes in Kurukshetra, there is a strong possibility of setting up processing units in these areas. He said that in some districts, poultry farms have also emerged as an industry.

Mr. Dushyant Chautala also assured on the behalf of the state government that the work of the Mega Food Park being set up by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation at Badri in Sonipat district and HAFED at Rohtak will be intensified. He said that this year’s budget focuses on the formation of more FPOs so that the farmers can sell their produce directly to consumers in the market. He said that Kinnow units have been set up under the Micro Food Processing Scheme in Sirsa and Fatehabad.

The Deputy Chief Minister also informed that a separate MSME Directorate has been set up in Haryana and Mr. Vikas Gupta has been appointed as its Director, who will coordinate with the Union Ministry regarding Haryana’s schemes.

Chandigarh, May 29 – Haryana Tourism Corporation is providing free of cost boarding and lodging facilities in their tourist complexes to the doctors and Paramedical staff treating COVID patients during the global COVID-19 Pandemic.

Sharing more information, an official spokesperson said that Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has given ex- post-facto approval in this regard.

He stated that during the nationwide lockdown which was imposed from March 24, 2020 in view of COVID-19, the government had decided that doctors treating COVID patients would be provided free of cost boarding and lodging facilities at these tourist complexes.

The Spokesman said that during the lockdown period, the revenue receipt of Haryana Tourism Corporation was almost nil. There was a loss of Rs 13.95 crore in the year 2017-18, which has reduced to Rs 2.04 crore in the year 2018-19. Despite this, the Corporation while showing a noble gesture is providing boarding and lodging facilities to these ‘COVID Warriors’.

Chandigarh, May 29 – Haryana, Principal Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlement) Office has launched an online grievance redressal system for cases related to pension revision of state government pensioners.

Giving information in this regard here today, Haryana, Principal Accountant General, Mr. Vishal Bansal said that the facility has been started to resolve the cases related to revision of pension by the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officer, who will send their information to the Accountant General Office through online process.

He said that Accountant General’s Office will send the pension authority online to the Drawing and Disbursing Officer, Treasury and Pensioner. In addition, the pensioners can also obtain the pension authority through user ID created at their own level. For this facility, pensioners will have to register themselves on this system.

He said that further pensioners can also contact on the toll free number 18001023292 and can also register their complaint on the online grievance redressal system through their mobile numbers. He said that the pensioner will be informed about the grievance redressal on his mobile as well as the grievance redressal system.

Chandigarh, May 29 : Haryana Chief Secretary Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora has directed the Agriculture Department and District Administrations to take all necessary precautions in advance to tackle any attack of locust swarms in the State.

The Chief Secretary gave these directions while presiding over a review meeting regarding monitoring and control of Locust in Haryana with the officers of Agriculture Department and other officers concerned here today.

During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal shared that after insect attack have been reported in the neighbouring states of Punjab and Rajasthan, Haryana has also been put on high alert. Special supervision teams have been constituted to tackle the situation and to spread the awareness about the same across the State. Further to control the locust attack, adequate stock of pesticides namely Chlorpyriphos 20% EC and Chlorpyriphos 50% EC have been made available through HAFED and Haryana Land Reclamation and Development Corporation and if required, farmers can get pesticides from these agencies.

Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal said that after locust swarms attacked crops in neighbouring Rajasthan and a few other states, nine districts where the insect attack is expected are put on high alert and adequate arrangements have already been made in advance to tackle any attack. He informed that Agriculture Department has stocked enough pesticides; insecticides and have also formed farmers’ group on WhatsApp. The farmers have also been asked to remain vigilant about locust.

He further informed that though till now the locust swarms have not entered the state, but all the necessary precautions are being taken in well advance including activation of tractor mounted spraying facility, constituting a response team for close monitoring of locust control activities. Along with this, for quick mobilization, Deputy Commissioners have been asked to coordinate and hold daily meetings with the response team and ensure no panic is created among the localities, he added.

The Chief Secretary was apprised that Agriculture Department officers are in regular touch with Jodhpur Central Institute for Locust Warning (Locust Warning Organisation), from sharing the necessary details about the swarms’ movement. The department officials are also coordinating with Locust Control Organizations of Government of India.

In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Mr. Vijai Vardhan and Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Mr. Vijayendra Kumar were present. Director-General of Police, Mr. Manoj Yadava also attended the meeting through video conferencing.
