Haryana Sanskrit Academy organized a one-day International Sanskrit Webinar ‘Online Seminar’ on ‘Conservation of Sanskrit Culture and Health’.

Chandigarh, 28 May – Haryana Sanskrit Academy organized a one-day International Sanskrit Webinar ‘Online Seminar’ on ‘Conservation of Sanskrit Culture and Health’. Renowned Sanskrit scholars and researchers from across the country and abroad participated in the event.

The seminar was inaugurated by Academy Director Dr. Someshwar Dutt Sharma with chanting of Vedic mantras. Presiding over the seminar, he said that Sanskrit language is a scientific language strengthened with moral values. Dr. Sharma said that in medical texts written by renowned medical scientists Acharya Charak and Sushruta state that every disease can be treated. He asked everyone to practice yoga, patience and adopt a disciplined lifestyle to deal with the pandemic of COVID-19.

Sanskrit scholar and Principal of DAV College Pehowa, Kurukshetra, Dr. Kamdev Jha was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Kamdev Jha said that Sanskrit is a very simple and sweet language. The regular usage of this language brings about mental strength which is very important in the present scenario.

Dr. Rishi Ram Acharya from Canada attended the seminar as a special guest. Acharya said that Sanskrit language is the soul of India. This language binds the world in a single thread. Sanskrit is the language of love and harmony. Assistant Professor, Chaudhary Bansi Lal Government College, Mr. Jaipal Shastri initiated the seminar. He highlighted the importance of Sanskrit by quoting the examples of great Sanskrit scholars. Dietician Dr. Shiva Kumari today shared her views about balanced diet and precautions. About 1,000 participants attended the seminar. Dr. Piyush Aggarwal thanked all the scholars and researchers who attended the seminar.

Chandigarh, May 28 – Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in collaboration with the Directorate of Human Resource Management and the Department of Languages and Haryanvi Culture, organized a three-week online refresher course on language skills.

There has been a change in the implementation of teaching and related activities due to the situation arisen owing to the global pandemic. Keeping this in mind all educational and other courses are being conducted online under the able guidance of Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. K.P. Singh.

In this training programme, 44 scientists, teachers and extension specialists are receiving training. Director Human Resource Management, Dr. MS Siddhpuria inaugurated the course and said that this is the for the first time an online refresher course of three weeks has been organized by the Directorate.

He said that the current online training programme would prove to be very relevant and important for the teaching community. The director of this online training programme Dr. Aparna expressed gratitude to the teaching community for showing keen interest in the training of language skills. Mrs. Manju Mehta, Dr. Poonam Mor, Mrs. Monika Malik and Dr. Parveen Kumar made significant contribution in organizing this online training programme.
