Chandigarh, Dec 14– The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that the proposal to set up gaushalas in such jails as have extra space, is being considered by the state government to enable the inmates to work in guashalas and earn money.
The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons after presiding over monthly review meeting of the District Grievances Redressal Committee in Gurugram late last evening. As many as 22 cases were heard at the meeting.
He said that the state government would frame rules under the Real Estate Regulatory Act being made by the Central Government to resolve the issues between builders and consumers.
On the issues related to cooperative housing societies, the Chief Minister directed the district administration, Gurugram, to prepare a list of all cooperative housing societies and promptly redress their grievances. Names of members of all societies should be uploaded to enable the people to check the list as and when required.
Hearing the case of Shanti Niketan Cooperative Group Housing Society, Sector 52, the Chief Minister directed that investigation be conducted against those officers of the Cooperation Department who had issued unclear advertisement in the newspapers for identification of members of societies.
The names of eligible members should have been given in the advertisement, but it was not done. The complainant made the allegation that Anil Sharma and Arun Sharma had made members over and above the prescribed limit and charged money from them.
The Chief Minister directed that a case be registered against both accused and asked the police to investigate the matter.
On the issue of providing compensation to members of the families of four labourers who died at RMC Plant in Sector 86, the Chief Minister directed setting up of a three-member committee under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Viney Pratap Singh, to inspect all RMC plants in Gurugram. Officers of the Taxation and Labour Departments would also be included in the committee.
On the issue of illegal possession of a stream by people for many years as shown in the revenue record of Sikandarpur, Mr Manohar Lal said that a state-level policy would be framed for such matters so that these may not arise in future. Multi-storey buildings have been constructed by people on the stream and they have been residing there for more than 20 years. The Chief Minister said that it would not be apt to evacuate them, but in future, no such activity would be allowed.
The Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, and other dignitaries were also present at the meeting.
