Chandigarh Dec 13: Various leading companies have offered an investment to the tune of about Rs 1700 crore in Haryana in the field of electronics, solar energy and beverages.
The offer was made by representatives of various leading companies during the one-on-one meeting held with Haryana Industries Minister Mr Vipul Goel during the road show organized at Mumbai in run up to the Pravasi Haryana Divas scheduled to be held at Gurugram in the month of January 2017. Haryanvis residing in 16 different countries have also been invited for the Pravasi Diwas Programme to be organized at Gurugram on January 10, 2017.
While the Essel Group has offered an investment of Rs 100 crore, Videocon Group has offered to invest about Rs 150 crore in the State. Similarly, PLG Clean Energy Group has proposed to invest Rs 1300 crore for the production of 250 MW solar energy whereas, Asahi Group of Japan has offered an investment of Rs 150 crore for the setting up of beverage plant.
Later, while addressing the industrialists, Mr Vipul Goel said that Haryana has become a favourite destination for the entrepreneurs to make investment and also to set up their units. He said that new schemes were being prepared to attract investors in the State. During the Swaran Jayanti Year of Haryana, various development works were being undertaken for the welfare of people. He said that during over two-year tenure of the present State Government, efforts have been made to bridge the gap between rich and poor by working with the spirit of Antodaya which is being appreciated by all. Unprecedented improvement of roads has been ensured in the State, he added.
The Industries Minister said that 136 kilometer Kundli-Manesar- Palwal (KMP) Expressway would be completed within 400 days. After completion of this expressway, a special zone would be developed in the area alongside the road to give boost to trade activities. He said that the Skill Development Mission has been established to boost skill development in the State. Apart from this, training would also be imparted to those who intended to establish new industries in the State.
Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman Essel Group Mr Subhash Chandra said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal, various new schemes have been implemented during the last two years and as a result of these new dimensions of development has been established in the State. Mr Chandra said that he himself has adopted five villages of district Hisar and these villages would be made model villages. He lamented that development has taken a back seat in Haryana during the last 50 years. This is the first time when an honest Chief Minister has committed himself for the uniform development of all areas in the State. He said that new industrialists would set up their units in Haryana at large scale in the time to come.
Principal Secretary, Industries Mr Devender Singh apprised the industrialists about the various schemes of the State Government. He said that efforts have been made to connect the people of Haryana origin from their own land and soil. Haryana is going to become a hub of solar energy, he added.
Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Mr Deepak Jain said that there is favourable atmosphere in Haryana for industries.
