Surveillance Drive in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, 25th November, 2016: Today 1 fresh cases of Dengue has been reported (till the release of press note) and the total number of Dengue cases remained 862 in the city. 1 case of Chikungunya has been reported today out of which all were from Chandigarh. The overall details of 273 cases of Chikungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 46 imported, 55 wrong address and 172 from Chandigarh.
To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out along with strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources.
