111 officers and officials of Haryana Government donated their blood at a blood donation camp.
Chandigarh, Nov 11 – As many as 111 officers and officials of Haryana Government donated their blood at a blood donation camp organised at Haryana Civil Secretariat, here today.
Inaugurating the camp, Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi said that blood donation was the noblest service to the society. Lauding the officers and officials for voluntarily donating blood, he said that blood donation could save lives.
While exhorting other employees to donate blood, the Chief Secretary said that this noble act gave self-satisfaction, and such programmes led to a sense of social harmony.
He said that blood donation camps are organised in the Haryana Civil Secretariat every year, in which officers and officials participated in a large number. He said that Principal Secretary, Monitoring and Coordination, Mr. T.C. Gupta and Principal Secretary, Employment, Mr. Apoorva Kumar Singh also donated blood at this camp.
