Chandigarh, Nov 6 –The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has expressed the confidence that the BJP would form the next government after the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh in 2017.
Interacting with media persons at Jagadhri in Yamunanagar district today, he said that having won the Lok Sabha elections, the party would also emerge victorious in UP, and, if other parties formed alliances, it would directly benefit the BJP.
Replying to a question on SYL, the Chief Minister said that the matter lying pending in the Supreme Court had been expedited by the present government. The judgment would untimately favour Haryana and it would have to be accepted by all.
With a view to ensuring that poplar growers got remunerative prices for their produce, licenses for peeling machines would be issued to increase the demand for poplar wood in plywood manufacturing factories.
Those present included the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr. Kanwar Pal, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, Member of Legislative Assembly, Yamunanagar, Mr. Ghanshyam Das Arora, other senior leaders and officers of the area.
