Today 6 cases of Dengue have been reported from various health institutions in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, 28th October, 2016: Today 6 cases of Dengue have been reported from various health institutions (till the release of press note) which bring the total number of Dengue cases to 728 in the city. 6 cases of Chickungunya have been reported today out of which 4 are from Chandigarh and 2 are with wrong address. The overall details of 156 cases of Chickungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 39 imported, 39 wrong address and 78 from Chandigarh.

To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources
