Chandigarh Oct 25: Haryana Vidhan Sabha has invited all current and former Members of Legislative Assembly and Members of Parliament of Haryana to participate in the Swarna Jayanti Samaroh to be organized at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula on November 3, 2016.
While giving this information here today, Speaker Vidhan Sabha Mr Kanwar Pal said that Haryana Governor Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki would inaugurate this function on that day at 11 a.m.
Mr Kanwar Pal said that he has himself sent invitation letters to 288 former MLAs presently drawing pension and also the MPs who were drawing pension from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. However, he urged that in case they did not receive invitation letter due to any reason, they must grace the occasion by ensuring their presence. He said that the former MLAs and MPs of Haryana would be specially honoured on this occasion.
He said that all the former MLAs and MPs would be paid honorarium of Rs 11,000 by Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat as to and fro charges and making arrangement of board and lodging at their own level. He also urged them to bring their identity cards with them so that they do not face any inconvenience.
He said that Haryana Government has, on the occasion of Swarna Jayanti Samaroh, also convened a special Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha on November 4, 2016. As this would be a special session, it would be ensured in the meeting of Business Advisory Committee that the agenda items of this session are different from that of regular sessions, he added.
