Five accused involved in various incidents of kidnapping, loot and murder arrested.

Chandigarh, Oct 12 – Haryana Police has busted an interstate gang and arrested five accused involved in various incidents of kidnapping, loot and murder from district Sonipat. The Police recovered .9 mm two pistols, .32 bore three pistols, live cartridges of 2.9mm and 15.32 bore, a sharp-edged weapon and a stolen Hyundai Creta car from their possession.
While stating this today, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Hardeep Singh Doon said that the accused have been identified as Vikram alias Ghussi, a resident of Housing Board Colony, Sonipat, Neeraj, Rinku, and Jasbir, residents of village Siwah district Panipat and Mannu Sharma, a resident of Hansi.
He said that the kingpin of the gang Vikram, who had murdered a police constable in 2007, had jumped the parole in 2008 and since then he was at large. After that he purchased weapons and started a loot gang. He said that so far, they have confessed involvement in 12 incidents. He said that Vikram had committed loot in Murthal in February 2016 and shot a person namely Sardana in Model Town, Karnal in March 2016. Separate cases have been registered against him in these incidents at police stations in Murthal and Karnal, he added.
Mr. Doon said that since April 2016 the gang had stolen various cars including two Toyota Fortuner, a Mahindra PickUp, a Honda Amaze, a Maruti WagonR, a Hyundai Creta and a Honda City from various places in Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh. He said that about one-and-a-half month ago they committed loot in a house at Sector-14, Sonipat. Separate cases in these incidents have been registered against the accused in various police stations. The accused used to sell the stolen vehicles in Srinagar, he added.
He said that the accused were also involved in ATM Loot. The accused had tried to cut open an ATM in Murthal few days back, but were unable to do so. The accused were being interrogated to know about other incidents, he added.
