Administrative Secretaries of Haryana Government to inform the Commission about the details of the damage caused to the public and private properties

Chandigarh, Sept 6 – The Claim Commissioner, Mr. Justice K.C. Puri (Retd.) Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, has asked all the Administrative Secretaries of Haryana Government to inform the Commission about the details of the damage caused to the public and private properties and other damages, which had been reported to their offices concerned during the Jat Reservation Agitation, within 30 days.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Commission said that the Government had set up the Commission to assess the damage caused to public and private properties and investigate the liability on account of the Jat Reservation Agitation which resulted in disruption of roads and rail traffic and other damages in February 2016 in the State.
He said that a written communication to this effect has been sent to all the Principal Secretaries in the State. They have been urged to apprise the public as well as private persons under their control to file claim before the Commission within 30 days. The claimant should specifically mention against whom the claim was being filed, he added.
He said that the claims related to district Jhajjar could also be submitted before Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mr. Pradeep Kaushik, office of Deputy Commissioner, Jhajjar and the claims related to District Rohtak could be submitted to Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Mr. Ajay Chopra at the office of Municipal Corporation, Rohtak. Similarly, the claims related to District Sonepat could be submitted with Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO), Mr. Assem Siwach at D.T.O office, Sonepat.
