Haryana Government would soon increase the monthly amount of social security pensions
Chandigarh, August 13 – Haryana Government would soon increase the monthly amount of social security pensions from Rs 1,400 to Rs 1,600, which would be increased to Rs 2,000 per month in January, 2019.Also, recruitment will be conducted to fill up 50,000 posts of Group D on the basis of merit only.
This was stated by Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, who was addressing a public meeting at Barwala in district Hisar today.
He criticised the previous governments for ignoring rules and acting in an arbitrary manner while recruiting employees. He announced projects to the tune of Rs 100 crore for the Assembly Constituency and said that an airport would be established over an area of about 3,200 acres in district Hisar. As this area falls under Barwala Assembly Constituency, the project would boost pace of development. He said that a new secretariat building would be constructed in Barwala sub-division and a 50-bed hospital would be set up.Reiterating the present Government’s commitment towards ensuring the welfare of all sections of society, the Chief Minister said that the compensation in case of losses due to crop damage had been increased and steps were being taken to make Haryana a kerosene-free state by providing cooking gas to Below Poverty Line families.
He also urged the people to pay their electricity bills to avail benefits under the ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ scheme. He said that the Government was working for all-round development of all districts without any discrimination, and was following the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption.
Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, said that the State Government was working according to the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Haryana Ek – Haryanvi Ek’. He said that while some political leaders had tried to divide the people of the State on the pretext of demanding reservation for their own political benefits, they could not mislead the people. During the past 21 months, the State Government had carried out praiseworthy work and effectively curbed corruption, besides making the administration more accountable.
State BJP President, Mr. Subhash Barala, and Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Dr. Kamal Gupta also spoke on this occasion.
