Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Somnath Dingra, Commercial Assistant, City Sub-Division, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitra Nigam (UHBVN), Panipat red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 10,000 .

Chandigarh, August 11- Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Somnath Dingra, Commercial Assistant, City Sub-Division, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitra Nigam (UHBVN), Panipat red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 10,000 from Ashok Mukhija, a resident of Panipat.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that he had accepted the bribe in lieu of installing a new commercial meter because his old meter was taken away by officials of UHBVN for checking. A case has been registered against him under sections 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988, at Bureau’s Police Station in Rohtak.
