Keshav Mehta would be given Rs one lakh by Haryana Granth Akademi-Kavita Jain.
Chandigarh, August 2 – Haryana Information, Public Relations, Languages and Art and Cultural Affairs Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, said that with a view to acquaint the youth with the glorious history of the State, special programmes would be organised throughout the Golden Jubilee year.
The Minister was speaking after releasing a book entitled as ‘Mahakavi Uday Bhanu Hans Ki Kavya Sadhana’ penned by Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma and a compact disc prepared by Mr. Keshav Mehta on the life of State Poet Uday Bhanu Hans titled ‘Rajya Kavi Udaybhanu Hans Samrat’, on the occasion of 91st birth anniversary of the poet. The book has been published with the assistance of Haryana Granth Akademi.
She said that it was a matter of pride for the people of Haryana that such a great poet whose work spanned from creation of the State to the present day, was associated with the State. She said that his works reflected patriotism and gave the message of humanity.
She also announced that Mr. Keshav Mehta would be given Rs one lakh by Haryana Granth Akademi.
