Haryana Govt. to fill up 1,500 posts of drivers, 930 conductors and 951 technical staff on regular basis.
Chandigarh, August 2 – Haryana Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, said that recruitment to fill up 1,500 posts of drivers, 930 conductors and 951 technical staff on regular basis would soon be conducted so as to meet the shortage of staff.
The Minister was interacting with mediapersons after a meeting with representatives of different unions of the Department, here today.
He said that 300 new buses would also be inducted into the fleet of Transport Department in the next two months, for which the purchase process was in the final phase. He said that target has been fixed to increase the number of buses in the Department’s fleet to 5,000 by March, 2017.
While the Minister accepted most of the demands raised by the representatives on the spot, he also directed the senior officers of the Department to take necessary steps regarding their other demands. He also approved the demands for payment of pending bonus for 2014-15 to the employees and uniform allowance of 2013-14 at the earliest.
He said that the process to eliminate the word ‘SPL’ attached with drivers and conductors, who would submit affidavits in this regard, would soon be initiated. Apart from this, the benefit of NPS would be given from August, due in September.
