Chandigarh, July 28 – Following a tip-off, a team of the Haryana Health Department and police raided Balyan Hospital in the village of Jhinjhana, Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, and caught red-handed Dr Satyavir Singh Balyan and two others, while performing sex-determination test.
Stating this here today, Deputy Civil Surgeon, Karnal, Dr. Rajinder said that the team constituted by the Civil Surgeon, Dr. Sant Lal Verma, comprised Deputy Civil Surgeon, Dr. Rajinder, Dr. Neeru Bala, Drug Control Officer, Mr. Gurcharan Singh, Mr. Sulekh, Mr. Harish Kumar, Head Constable, Mr. Gurpal and constable Mr. Saroj.
The team arranged a decoy customer wanting to get the test dome with the help of a social worker. The decoy approached the tout who demanded Rs 23,000 and the amount was given to him. The decoy was taken to the clinic of Dr. Satyavir Singh Balyan in Jhinjhana.
He said that as the ultrasound was being performed on the first floor of the hospital, the team raided the premises and caught Dr. Balyan, tout Vinod and chemist Anil red-handed
