France has evinced keen interest in making investment in Haryana

Chandigarh, July 12 – France has evinced keen interest in making investment in Haryana in the areas of new and renewable energy, semi hi-speed train, management of railway stations, food processing and water and waste management.
A 4-member delegation led by Ambassador-designate of France to India, Mr Alexandre Ziegler called on Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal here today and discussed various issues of mutual interest to explore potential areas of partnership between France and Haryana.
Mr Alexandre apprised the Chief Minister that a special seminar of French Companies would be organized in Chandigarh in the month of September, this year and Haryana could also participate in the seminar. This would help in making commercial ties between France and Haryana. The Chief Minister said that the State Government would nominate an officer to remain in touch with French Embassy in India.
The Chief Minister said that famous French architect Le Corbusier had prepared the master plan of Chandigarh city and main event of international yoga day was organized at Capital Complex here in which Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest.
The Chief Minister also invited Mr Alexandre to join the Golden Jubilee year celebrations of the State on November 1, 2016 in which Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi will be Chief Guest. He said that all the foreign delegates in India should be invited for the same. The partner countries of Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit should also be invited to these celebrations.
The delegation was informed that the State Government has laid emphasis on ensuring ease of doing business. Under the new Enterprises Promotion Policy, there is a single window system for all kind of clearances for setting up of ventures in the state which is being directly monitored by the Chief Minister. The delegation was also informed about the other facilities being provided by State Government to industries.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary Industry and Commerce Mr Devender Singh, Managing Director Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Mr Sudhir Rajpal and other officers and members of French delegation were also present in the meeting.
