Problems related to lifting of wheat from the Mandis inHaryana have been resolved
Chandigarh, April 26- Haryana Food and Supplies Minister, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj said that problems related to lifting of wheat from the Mandis in the State have been resolved and it is being lifted within 24 hours. However, in case of any such problem at any place, that too would be resolved promptly, he added.
Mr Kamboj, who was redressing the grievances of the people here today, said that arrival of wheat in this Rabi season has broken all previous records as about 60.54 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has so far arrived in mandies of the state. As compared to it, only 43.57 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had arrived during corresponding period last year. This, he said is about 25 per cent more as compared to that of last year. This year not only the production of wheat has increased, but shine and quality of grains have also improved, he added.
The Minister promptly redressed the grievances of the people on the spot. A large number of people had come from different places to get their grievances redressed. He said that the State Government was concerned to improve the quality of life of the people and has, therefore, implemented a number of welfare programmes.C
