Empowerment starts from home rather than society: M.L.A Latika

Panchkula8 March,“Empowerment comes from the home first then we should go for the society. It comes from the heart and the type of ideology ones have” These lines were said by M.L.A Kalka, Adv. Latika Sharma, today at Govt. College sector-1 Panchkula .This seminar was organised on the occasion of International women’s day.
Adding to this Adv. Latika Sharma also said that she will request the transport department to provide buses especially for the girls of barwala, Raipurani and Morni because of the lack of transportation. More than 200 students both the girls and the boys expressed their views on the problems which they face in day to day life. Their answers were given by the principle of the college, Dr. Archana Mishra.
Dr. Mishra said “I totally agree with Mrs. Latika and we should bring the change in our self then we should expect the others to change, our nation is changing quickly which is also beneficial for us as the society is accepting the importance of women. I am a woman and I have been from your age and I know how things have changed with the time”. Students were given 2 minutes to express their viewpoints on the women issues out of which the top 3 students were given certificates to contribute and support the women empowerment.
Students took part with great enthusiasm as they believe that college is their second home and they have full right to contribute for the betterment of it.. Dr. Rajni Bhalla, Women cell coordinator, Mrs. Bhupinder Dhiman, Mrs. Bindu , Dr. Kuldeep Singh Thind and Dr. Jasbir Kaur were present at the occasion.
