Chandigarh, December 31 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, has extended greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of New Year and expressed hope that the new year would usher in an era of peace, prosperity, fraternity and brotherhood in the State.
In his New Year message issued here today, the Chief Minister said that 2015 has been an unforgettable year for the people of Haryana as the political scenario has changed not only in the country, but also in the State. The Central and the State Governments have taken various historic welfare-oriented decisions. The most significant triumph for Haryana came when the Supreme Court upheld the State Government’s decision regarding educational qualifications and other conditions for public representatives in Panchayati Raj Institutions, he added.
Mr. Manohar Lal said that the Haryana Government has, during the year 2015, fulfilled its promise of providing corruption-free governance to people and provided online services by promoting maximum use of Information Technology in government offices. “We stand committed to making Haryana a dynamic, vibrant, graft-free and progressive state with active participation of the people,” he added.
The Chief Minister has appealed to the people of the State to maintain harmonious relations and contribute towards the development of the State in the New Year
