National Armed Forces Flag Day at Haryana Raj Bhavan celebrated

Chandigarh, December 7: Haryana and Punjab Governor and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki donated towards the Flag Day Fund on the occasion of the National Armed Forces Flag Day at Haryana Raj Bhavan here today.
          This Day is celebrated on December 7 every year all over the country to help and remember our brave martyrs, war widows, wounded soldiers and their dependents.
          On the occasion, the Governor said that Flag Day gives us an opportunity to reaffirm our solidarity with the Armed Forces and recognize their services. We should be grateful to the soldiers and their families, he added.
          Officers of Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh Sainik Boards pinned Flag Day sticker to the Governor. They informed the Governor that this Day is also celebrated all over India every year and persons belonging to different sections of the society donate generously on this occasion as a token of help and regards to the martyrs and their dependents of the Armed Forces personnel.

Chandigarh, December 7 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has urged the people to generously donate towards welfare of our Armed Forces.  Contribution to Armed Forces Flag Day Fund will help the war widows, war disabled and their dependents.
          The Chief Minister was speaking after getting a flag pinned by Secretary, Haryana Rajya Sainik Board, Brigadier (Retd.) S.C. Rangi here today.  He also made a donation on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day.
          While lauding the significant role being played by brave soldiers of Haryana in maintaining the unity and integrity of the country, the Chief Minister said that this day reminded us of our duty to look after our martyrs, war widows, war disabled and dependents of those who had laid down their lives to safeguard our motherland.
