The Consul General of Canada, Mr. Christopher Gibbins, called on Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki

Chandigarh-December 3 – The Consul General of Canada, Mr. Christopher Gibbins, called on Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, at Haryana Raj Bhavan here today. This courtesy call continued for half an hour in a very cordial and amicable atmosphere.

Discussing various issues with the Consul General, Prof. Solanki said that Haryana and Punjab are renowned in the field of agriculture because of very fertile land, availability of water and hard-working farmers. He suggested that efforts be made to strengthen partnership in agriculture-related ventures, especially food processing, which has major scope for collaboration.  

Mr. Christopher Gibbins showed keen interest in the culture and customs of this region. Secretary to Governor, Mrs. Neelam P. Kasni, was also present on the occasion
