Haryana Day celebrated at Haryana Raj Bhawan
Chandigarh, November 1- Haryana Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm with all the traditional fervor and gaiety at Haryana Raj Bhawan here today.
The Governor of Haryana and Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki and Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal lighted the traditional lamp to mark the beginning of the function. They extended heartiest felicitations and good wishes on the auspicious occasion of Haryana Day to the people of Haryana.
The audience was regaled by the artistes who presented a number of cultural programmes. The cultural programmes also highlighted the message about Swacchta Abhiyaan and Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao programme. The Governor announced a reward of Rs. five lakh for the participating artists.
A number of prominent persons including Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu, Health Minister Mr Anil Vij, Minister of State Mr. Krishan Kumar Bedi, Minister of State for Renewable Energy Mr Nayab Singh Saini, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Mr Bakshish Singh Virk and Mr. Shyam Singh Rana, Chief Secretary Mr D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr Sanjeev Kaushal, Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr R.K. Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan, Lokayukta Haryana Justice Pritam Pal, Director General Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department Dr Abhilaksh Likhi and a number of senior officers attended the celebrations.
