District Magistrate, Sirsa imposed Section-144 in the district.
Chandigarh, November 2 – With a view to ensure safety of the people, the District Magistrate, Sirsa, Mr. Nikhil Gajraj has imposed Section-144 in the district under which there will be a complete ban on the sale of firecrackers at crowded places.
While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that during this period no person can store or sell firecrackers and other explosive items at crowded places. He said that as per directions, sale or storage of firecrackers without licence is not allowed. It would be compulsory to have a valid license under Indian Explosives Act 1884 to sell firecrackers. The license would have to be obtained from Authorized Officer, he added.
The spokesman said that according to these orders, bursting of firecrackers would not be allowed between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. These orders would remain effective till November 12, 2015 and legal action would be taken against violators of these orders.
