100% permission given to industrial units to operate in Haryana 32 Lakh passes generated through Saral Haryana Portal.

Chandigarh-23 May,In a virtual interaction organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mr A K Singh, Principal Secretary – Industries & Commerce, Government of Haryana mentioned that the State is in touch with the Government of India for inviting investments from companies engaged in Pharma, Auto Components and Electronics sector in Panipat. Th State has earmarked around 700 acres of land for the purpose informed Mr Singh. The official added that an Electronics Cluster is being set up at IMT Sohna (250 acres) in collaboration with Ministry of Electronics & Technology, Government of India.

Speaking in the session, the Principal Secretary informed that they are in touch with some Japanese and US companies to consider investing in the state.

Mr Sunjay Kapur, Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Chairman, Sona COMSTAR moderated the discussions and in response to a question of allowing interstate movement of employees in the State raised by Mr Kapur, the official informed that the issue has been flagged in the meetings with the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana and we are hopeful that the same will be resolved shortly. Mr Singh further informed that since the permission for operations with 100% workforce has been issued, around 32 Lakhs passes have been generated through Saral Haryana Portal granting permission to workers and employees to resume their duties in the industrial and commercial establishments in the state.

Giving clarification on the matter of COVID-19 related case getting diagnosed in an industrial unit, Mr Singh mentioned that industry’s support is required in terms of reporting for COVID-19 related cases in their premises to the Government Authorities and he assured that any industrial unit unless it is surrounded by a residential area will not be declared a Containment Zone. .

Mr Singh further requested CII to submit suggestions for the Haryana Aerospace & Defence Policy.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Hero MotoCorp ltd, JBM Group, JCB India Ltd, Munjal Auto Industries Ltd, Carrier Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Ltd, Park group of Companies, Oriental Engineering Industries Ltd and Star Wire Ltd amongst others.
