Employment to two lakh unemployed youth of the state by December 31, 2018- Nayab Singh.
Chandigarh, Dec 22 – Haryana Government has set a target to provide employment to two lakh unemployed youth of the state by December 31, 2018. Under this initiative, employment would be provided to youth in government as well as private sectors besides providing assistance in getting loans for setting up their ventures and making them self-employed. For this purpose, he suggested to set up ‘Saksham Haryana Nigrani Kaksh’ at state-level.
This was informed by Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Nayab Singh while presiding over meeting with officers of the Department, here today.
He said that the ‘Saksham Haryana Nigrani Kaksh’ would monitor cases pertaining to provide loans to unemployed youth under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana’ and jobs with the assistance of state government. Apart from this, mega job fairs would be organised at ten places in the state. During the current year, employment has been provided to about 7,938 unemployed youth, he added.
The Minister directed to verify academic and other record of all 5.32 lakh unemployed youth in the state, by January 15, 2018. He also directed to certify the record of non-verified unemployed youth by March 31, 2018 to identify actual number of unemployed youth. After identification of actual number of unemployed youth, skill development training would be imparted to them so that maximum number of such youth could be made capable and self-reliant.
He directed to deposit the honorarium of youth engaged under Saksham Yuva Yojana latest by 15 of every month. The officers found not adhering to these instructions would invite stern action against them. Apart from this, all such candidates have been directed to submit their joining report and attendance online on the portal of the Department so that they may not face any inconvenience regarding their honorarium.
He said that at present, 55,306 graduate and post-graduate youth have got themselves registered under the Saksham Yuva Yojana of which 41,439 have been approved. Of these approved registered youth, employment has been provided to 32,284 in various departments of the State Government and unemployment allowance was being given to about 25,000 youth.
