Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 97.85 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 8.51 lakh quintals of sugar so far.

Chandigarh, Dec 22- The Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 97.85 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 8.51 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Sugarfed said that cooperative sugar mill Shahabad has so far crushed a maximum of 17.04 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 1.58 lakh quintals of sugar, followed by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak which has crushed 15.15 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.27 lakh quintals of sugar.
He said cooperative sugar mill Kaithal has crushed 10.35 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced 91,935 quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill Meham crushed 10.11 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 85,350 quintals of sugar while Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal crushed 9.25 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 84,100 quintals of sugar.
Similarly, Gohana sugar mill has crushed lakh 7.95 quintals of sugarcane, producing 62,630 quintals of sugar, Jind sugar mill has crushed 7.40   lakh quintals and produced 63,125 quintal of sugar, Panipat sugar mill crushed 7.11 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 62,100 quintals of sugar, Sonipat sugar mill has crushed 6.77 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 59,500 quintals of sugar and Palwal sugar mill crushed 6.72 lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced 58,135 quintals of sugar.
Apart from this, Assandh sugar mill has crushed 9.34 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 75,000 quintals of sugar. So far, the average recovery of sugar from cooperative sugar mills has been 9.23 per cent.
