Punjab team which won the 66th All India Police Hockey Championship by defeating Border Security Force (BSF) with 3-0, at Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports, Rai honoured.
Chandigarh, Dec 12 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today honoured the Punjab team which won the 66th All India Police Hockey Championship by defeating Border Security Force (BSF) with 3-0, at Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports, Rai.
The team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) grabbed the third position by defeating Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) by 6-3. The Maharashtra team was awarded with Fair Play Award.
As many as 24 teams including 580 players participated in this Championship. These included the teams of Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Uttar Pradesh, Central Industrial Security Force, Railway Police Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, BSF, CRPF and ITBP.
