The Cooperative Sugar Mills in Haryana have crushed 58.99 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 4.67 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.

Chandigarh, Dec 6– The Cooperative Sugar Mills in Haryana have crushed 58.99 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 4.67 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Sugarfed said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has so far crushed a maximum of 10.18 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced 79,980 quintals of sugar, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad which has crushed 9.56 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 79,300 quintals of sugar.
He said Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has crushed 6.58 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced 51,600 quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal crushed 6.12 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 49,485 quintals of sugar while Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal crushed 5.72 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 47,510 quintals of sugar.
Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has crushed 4.67 lakh quintals of sugarcane, produced 37,200 quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has crushed 4.25 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 33,975 quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sonipat has crushed 3.99 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 31,800 quintals of sugar and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has crushed 3.95 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 30,945 quintals of sugar.
Apart from this, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has crushed 3.97 lakh quintals and produced 25,550 quintal of sugar and Sugar Mill, Assandh has crushed 5.73 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 43,550 quintals of sugar.
He said that the average sugar recovery in Cooperative Sugar Mills of the state has been 8.75 per cent.
