89.71 lakh units of electricity have so far been exported by two Cooperative Sugar Mills in Haryana, during the current crushing season.

Chandigarh, Dec 1 – More than 89.71 lakh units of electricity have so far been exported by two Cooperative Sugar Mills in Haryana, during the current crushing season. 

          Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that while Shahbad Cooperative Sugar Mill exported over 45.71 lakh units, Rohtak Sugar Mill exported over 43.99 lakh units of electricity.

          He said that the cooperative sugar mills in the State have so far produced over 3.51 lakh quintal sugar by crushing 46.72 lakh quintal sugarcane.
He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak had produced the maximum of 65,630 quintal sugar by crushing 8.56 lakh quintal sugarcane.

           He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced 56,500 quintal sugar by crushing 7.25 lakh quintal  sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham which has produced 39,250 quintal sugar by crushing 5.29 lakh quintal sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced 39,015 quintal sugar by crushing 5.01 lakh quintal sugarcane.

          The spokesman said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind which has produced 29,575 quintal sugar by crushing 3.83 lakh quintal sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal has produced 36,520 quintal sugar by crushing 4.61 lakh quintal sugarcane. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 25,450 quintal sugar by crushing 3.32 lakh quintal sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 22,730 quintal sugar by crushing 3.11 lakh quintal sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sonipat had so far produced 22,600 quintal of sugar by crushing 3.04 lakh quintal sugarcane, he added.

           He said that the average sugar recovery in Cooperative Sugar Mills of the state has been 8.54 per cent.
