Sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 1.28 lakh quintal sugar by crushing 22.19 lakh quintal sugarcane.

Chandigarh, Nov 20 – During the current crushing season, the cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 1.28 lakh quintal sugar by crushing 22.19 lakh quintal sugarcane.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak had produced the maximum of 36,330 quintal sugar by crushing 5.26 lakh quintal sugarcane.
He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced 20,600 quintal sugar by crushing 3.46 lakh quintal sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal, which has produced 14,350 quintal sugar by crushing 2.41 lakh quintal sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind which has produced 13,300 quintal sugar by crushing 1.98 lakh quintal sugarcane.
The spokesman said that Cooperative Sugar Mill Meham has produced 13,250 quintal of sugar by crushing 2.53 lakh quintals sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal has produced 13,210 quintal sugar by crushing 2.18 lakh quintal sugarcane. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 7,800 quintal sugar by crushing 1.36 lakh quintal sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 6,050 quintal sugar by crushing 1.38 lakh quintal sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sonipat had so far produced 4,000 quintal of sugar by crushing 1.07 lakh quintal sugarcane, he added.
He said that the average sugar recovery in Cooperative Sugar Mills of the state has been 8.05 per cent.
