Pay Rs 200 upfront and get a domestic power connection in any rural area of Haryana.

Chandigarh, Nov 19—Just pay Rs 200 upfront and get a domestic power connection in any rural area of Haryana under a new scheme announced by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal. The rest you can pay in easy instalments.
Announcing the launch of the new scheme for the release of domestic power connections in the rural areas of the state, the Chief Minister told a TV channel programme last night that the consumer could pay the remaining amount in easy instalments of Rs 100 to Rs 200. At present, one has to pay anything between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,000 to get a connection.
Mr Manohar Lal said the state government has initiated several schemes which had helped in reducing the losses of the Power Department by seven per cent. Villages where line losses have been reduced by 20 per cent are getting 24-hour power supply. Four districts namely, Panchkula, Ambala, Gurugram and Faridabad, are getting 24-hour power supply.
The state government would fulfill its promise to provide 24-hour power supply all over the state in the next two years. The previous governments had been only instigating the people not to pay their bills, but we are explaining and encouraging them to pay bills, he added.
