Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced 90,240 quintal sugar by crushing 17.59 lakh quintal sugarcane.

Chandigarh, Nov 18 – During the current crushing season, the cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced 90,240 quintal sugar by crushing 17.59 lakh quintal sugarcane.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak had produced the maximum of 30,430 quintal sugar by crushing 4.62 lakh quintal sugarcane.
He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced 12,200 quintal sugar by crushing 2.61 lakh quintal sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind, which has produced 10,575 quintal sugar by crushing 1.66 lakh quintal sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced 9,966 quintal sugar by crushing 1.92 lakh quintal sugarcane.
The spokesman said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal has produced 9,350 quintal sugar by crushing 1.74 lakh quintal sugarcane. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 9,050 quintal sugar by crushing 2.05 lakh quintal sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 4,750 quintal sugar by crushing 1.00 lakh quintal sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal had so far produced 2,825 quintals of sugar by crushing 1.07 lakh quintal sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill has produced 1,100 quintal of sugar by crushing 0.75 lakh quintal sugarcane, he added.
He said that the average sugar recovery in Cooperative Sugar Mills of the state has been eight per cent.
