Proposal regarding the expansion of metro train upto Kundli in district Sonipat has been prepared
Chandigarh November 17: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that the proposal regarding the expansion of metro train upto Kundli in district Sonipat has been prepared and for beyond the Kundli area, Rapid Metro and other options are being considered.
Mr Manohar Lal was interacting with media persons in Sonipat today.
The Chief Minister said that out of the 3600 announcements concerning various development projects made by him, 2550 announcements have either been completed or in progress. He assured that the remaining about 1000 announcements would be completed by the end of this year. The work on the setting up of vyayamshalas in 1500 villages of the State has been started and it would be completed by next year, he added.
The Chief Minister said that today he has completed his tour of 18 districts and remaining four districts would be covered in the next month. He said that during his visits to the districts, he has made efforts to redress the grievances of people through Janta Darbars. Apart from this, he has also convened meetings with the party workers and officers of the State Government.
On being asked about the Rail Coach Factory in Sonipat, he said that land has been transferred to Railways and foundation stone of this project would be laid soon.
Asked about the setting up of Science City in Sonipat, the Chief Minister told that the Centre Government has a plan to set up a Science City in Haryana and the State Government has offered Centre to set up the Science City in Sonipat. Apart from this, the Centre Government is also exploring possibilities to set up the Science City in Gurugram.
In reply to yet another question, the Chief Minister said that capacity of all sugar mills in the State would be increased so as to ensure the crushing of entire produce of cane growers.
Asked about the efforts made by the State Government for ensuring adequate water at the tail ends for irrigation, he said that during the tenure of present State Government, water has reached to 293 tails out of the total 300 tails in the State. Water would be reached at the remaining seven tail ends by next year, he added.
Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain, MP Mr Ramesh Kaushik and BJP State Media Incharge Mr Rajiv Jain were also present on this occasion.
