SIA strives for new perspective to rights of women.

Chandigarh-16/11/17,SIA wants to give new perspective to recently created Beti Bachao, Beti padho famous slogan in the rein of present government results of which will be known in the coming future which will be much more concerning than meager sex ratio. This slogan is a result of issues faced by ladies in the male dominated society. But the real issue lies somewhere else. Most of the parents those who are not willing to keep girl child is not because they cannot afford her studies or they cannot give her good life, it is because of the issues which their daughters face after she has got married. It has come to light, in most of the cases ladies are being humiliated, used and tortured not physically but mentally by their husbands and their in laws. The girl has no resolution to these issues except accepting them deep inside her stride. Beti bachao beti padho in the modern world should be like beti padho fir bachao. Once the daughters have been educated and made self-sustained, there the problem starts. Male dominated society is not ready to accept them at the equal levels. There comes a situation when the same parents who saved her and gave her education has to come in her support. The system in place as we call for the ladies is just on papers or it might work only for wealthy and powerful parents. A parent who brings up their daughter with meagre money has no option other than accepting the wrong doing happening to their daughter.

We need to revisit and think about it and in this regards, SIA in its initiative has invited the DSP-Women and Child support at a session to be conducted on 19.11.2017 at Sector 19 Community Center Chandigarh from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. lets make a difference and understand the underlying reason of killing of daughters.
