Haryana have so far produced 59,980 quintal sugar by crushing 13.67 lakh quintal sugarcane.

Chandigarh, Nov 16 – During the current crushing season, the cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced 59,980 quintal sugar by crushing 13.67 lakh quintal sugarcane.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak had produced the maximum of 24,830 quintal sugar by crushing 3.93 lakh quintal sugarcane.
He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has produced 7,775 quintal sugar by crushing 1.33 lakh quintal sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, which has produced 6,910 quintal sugar by crushing 1.47 lakh quintal sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced 6,400 quintal sugar by crushing 1.46 lakh quintal sugarcane.
The spokesman said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 5,700 quintal sugar by crushing 1.70 lakh quintal sugarcane. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced 5,500 quintal sugar by crushing 1.87 lakh quintal sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 2,100 quintal sugar by crushing 0.68 lakh quintal sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal had so far produced 765 quintal of sugar by crushing 0.78 lakh quintal sugarcane, he added.
He said that the average sugar recovery in Cooperative Sugar Mills of the state has been 7.99 per cent.
