62.61 lakh metric tonnes of Paddy has been arrived so far in Haryana.

Chandigarh, November 6- In Haryana, more than 62.61 lakh metric tonnes of Paddy has been arrived so far in mandis, out of which government procuring agencies have procured over 56.70 lakh metric tonnes whereas over 5.90 lakh metric tonnes of Paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, more than 26.31 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 18.69 lakh metric tonnes by HAFED, over 5.31 lakh metric tonnes by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, over 6.21 lakh metric tonnes by Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 17,327 metric tonnes has been purchased by the Food Corporation of India.

Giving details of arrival in mandi’s of different districts, the spokesman said that out of the total arrival of paddy, the maximum quantity of paddy has arrived in district Karnal which is over 14.38 lakh metric tonnes followed by district Kurukshetra with paddy arrival of more than 11.80 lakh metric tonnes. Similarly, district Kaithal received over eight lakh metric tonnes of paddy, district Ambala over 7.63 lakh metric tonnes, Fatehabad over 7.28 lakh metric tonnes, Yamunanagar over 5.79 lakh metric tonnes, Jind over 2.65 lakh metric tonnes, Sirsa over 1.53 lakh metric tonnes, Panchkula over 1.27 lakh metric tonnes, Panipat more than 1.11 lakh metric tonnes, Palwal 74,079 metric tonnes, Rohtak 20,165 metric tonnes and Jhajjar 14,678 metric tonnes.
