Festival of light came alive.

Panchkula-18 Oct.,Festival of light came alive when it was celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm and excitement by the kindergarten section of DC Model Sr. Sec. School. The students dressed themselves in colourful casuals .Beautifully decorated school campus added charm and religious fervour to the atmosphere. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. The celebration enabled the children enlighten the hearts and enjoy every moment. The tiny tots felt blessed performing traditional Luxmi and Ganesha pujan with the class mates and teachers which was followed by an enthralling and vibrant dance performance by the students. Sweets were distributed among the students which they relished utmost. The students displayed immense interest in making the beautiful paper lanterns and they decorated them too. To make the students aware of the significance and traditional value associated with the celebration of the festival, the teachers enacted Ramayana before the students. The show by their teachers on the stage had a special fascination for them. The performance by teachers was applauded by everyone. School director Sh. BB Gupta and school Principal Smt Usha Gupta felicitated everyone and further emphasized the need to embrace greener and safer ways of enjoying Diwali. The vice Principal Gurjeet Singh highlighted the need to celebrate eco friendly Diwali. The coordinators Mrs Deepika Bhardwaj and Mrs. Sarika Malik also wished the students safe and happy Diwali and encouraged them to come forward to discard the foreign import.
