63rd National School Games concluded.

Chandigarh, 13th October, 2017: 63rd NSG concluded on a successfull note at Govt. Model Sr. Secondary School Sector-37-B, today. The 5-day meet was declared closed by Sh. B.L Sharma, IAS, Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration, the Chief Guest at the ‘Closing Ceremony’.
The National School Games organized by the Education Department under the Chairmanship of Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, DSE, UT Chandigarh, was held in the discipline of Baseball Under 19 Boys and Girls. 27 teams from various states and UT’s of India were in the city from 9th October to 13thOctober 2017. 5 day National School Games Baseball held under the aegis of the School Games of Federation of India. Sh. Dinesh Singh was present as Observer of SGFI. A brief report was read out by Mrs Rajinder Kaur, District Education Officer cum Organizing Secretary of the game.
All participants marched past as a good will gesture towards the host city. Overall trophies and prizes were given to the winners by Education Secretary, who congratulated the organizers and the key departments for their round the clock services to the teams. The 5 day event concluded with Bhangra presentation by the students of GMSSS, Karsan and release of a farewell kite and the retreat ceremony of the SGFI Flag.
Closing ceremony Function was attended by Mrs Saroj Mittal, DDSE and Other Officers of Education Department.
