27.52 lakh metric tonnes of paddy arrived so far in mandis in Haryana.
Chandigarh, Oct 13– In Haryana, more than 27.52 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been arrived so far in mandis, out of which government procuring agencies have procured over 26.97 lakh metric tonnes whereas 54,948 metric tonnes paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, more than 27.23 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was leviable.
He said that out of the total arrival, more than 12.75 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 9.13 lakh metric tonnes by HAFED, over 2.61 lakh metric tonnes by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, over 2.43 lakh metric tonnes by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 3,037 metric tonnes has been purchased by Food Corporation of India.
While referring to arrival in mandis of different districts, the spokesman said that over 7.30 lakh metric tonnes in Kurukshetra, over 6.59 lakh metric tonnes in Karnal, over 4.63 lakh metric tonnes in Kaithal, over 3.88 lakh metric tonnes in Ambala, over 1.89 lakh metric tonnes in Yamunanagar, over 1.53 lakh metric tonnes in Fatehabad, 64,304 metric tonnes in Panchkula, 57,512 metric tonnes in Jind, 27,565 metric tonnes in Sirsa, 16,480 metric tonnes in Panipat and 1,101 metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in Palwal.
