22.81 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been arrived so far in mandis.

Chandigarh, Oct 11– In Haryana, more than 22.81 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been arrived so far in mandis, out of which government procuring agencies have procured over 22.39 lakh metric tonnes whereas 42,249 metric tonnes paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, more than 22.61 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was leviable.
He said that out of the total arrival, more than 10.63 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 7.58 lakh metric tonnes by HAFED, over 2.12 lakh metric tonnes by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, over 2.01 lakh metric tonnes has been purchased by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 2,251 metric tonnes by Food Corporation of India.
While referring to arrival in mandis of different districts, the spokesman said that over 6.29 lakh metric tonnes in Kurukshetra, over 5.55 lakh metric tonnes in Karnal, over 3.99 lakh metric tonnes in Kaithal, over 3.29 lakh metric tonnes in Ambala, over 1.50 lakh metric tonnes in Yamunanagar, 87,913 metric tonnes in Fatehabad, 55,444 metric tonnes in Panchkula, 41,927 metric tonnes in Jind, 12,620 metric tonnes in Panipat, 16,669 metric tonnes in Sirsa and 1,029 metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in Palwal.
