Integrated Development Plan of Panchkula town would be given.
Panchkula, October 7—With a view to harnessing the great potential Panchkula district holds for development, an Integrated Development Plan would be prepared with the help of a consultant who would be appointed for the purpose. The Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has given approval for the appointment of consultant. Panchkula district touches Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Chandigarh.
Giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Town and Country Planning Department said a consultant would be appointed to hold discussions with all stake holders, identify policy interventions, and suggest changes in the development plan for Panchkula town.
Considering the newer aspects of development, a proposal in the form of Request for Proposal (RFP) is required to be prepared for Integrated Development Plan of Panchkula town. The REF is required to be put up for approval to the government within 15 days for taking the matter forward.
The District Town Planner, Panchkula, has been directed to initiate the process of hiring the consultant. Information about the entire process of preparation of thecto the government through the Department, the spokesman added.
