Haryana, more than 10.59 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been arrived so far in mandis

Chandigarh, Oct 6 – In Haryana, more than 10.59 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been arrived so far in mandis, out of which government procuring agencies have procured over 10.43 lakh metric tonnes whereas 16,042 metric tonnes paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, more than 10.57 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was leviable.

He said that out of the total arrival, more than 5.06 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 3.54 lakh metric tonnes by HAFED, 93,993 metric tonnes by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation and 88,113 metric tonnes has been purchased by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation.

While referring to arrival in mandis of different districts, the spokesman said that over 1.74 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in Ambala, over 1.85 lakh metric tonnes in Kaithal, over 2.64 lakh metric tonnes in Karnal, 3.19 lakh metric tonnes in Kurukshetra, 69,932 metric tonnes in Yamunanagar, 20,485 metric tonnes in Panchkula, 16,221 metric tonnes in Fatehabad, 5,018 metric tonnes in Panipat and 3,577 metric tonnes paddy has arrived in Sirsa.
