Haryana Government has decided to celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti in a befitting manner in every district of the State from October 3 to 10, 2017.

Chandigarh, Sept 29- Haryana Government has decided to celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti in a befitting manner in every district of the State from October 3 to 10, 2017.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Kanwar Pal, would be the chief guest at the function to be organised in district Yamunanagar, whereas Deputy Speaker, Mrs. Santosh Yadav, would be the chief guest in district Rewari.
Similarly, Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma, would be the chief guest in district Bhiwani, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, in district Hisar, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar, in district Jhajjar, Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, in district Ambala and Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, in district Gurugram.
Likewise, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, would be the chief guest in district Sonipat, Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, in district Panipat, Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel, in district Faridabad, Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Manish Kumar Grover, in district Rohtak and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Kumar, in district Kurukshetra.
He said that Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj, would be the chief guest in district Kaithal, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Dr. Banwari Lal, in district Nuh and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Nayab Singh, in district Jind.
MLAs Mr Subhash Barala and Mr Gian Chand Gupta would be chief guests in districts Fatehabad and Panchkula respectively. In other districts, MLAs and Deputy Commissioners concerned will preside over the function, he added.
