Strike by the doctors working in the Health Department in public interest, for a period of six months effective from today prohibted.
Chandigarh, September 10- Haryana Government has decided to prohibit any strike by the doctors working in the Health Department in public interest, for a period of six months effective from today.
The notification issued by Chief Secretary Mr. D.S. Dhesi states, “whereas, the Governor of Haryana is satisfied that any strike by the doctors working in the Health Department, Haryana will gravely affect the health and essential services for the life of the community.
And whereas, the Governor of Haryana is further satisfied that the prohibition of strike by the doctors of the said department is in public interest and it is necessary to prohibit a strike;
Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4-A of the Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1974 (Act 40 of 1974), the Governor of Haryana hereby prohibits any strike in the aforesaid department for a period of six months from the date of publication of this order in the official gazette.”
