Panchkula, Sept 5 – Haryana Government today transferred 20,188 Principals, Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Classical and Vernacular (C&V) teachers under its online teachers’ transfer policy.

The transfers were made by Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, Dr. K.K. Khandelwal, with the click of a button at Shiksha Sadan in Panchkula, near here.

The transferred teachers included 17,013 such teachers who had completed five years’ tenure in one place, 8,903 C&V teachers, 7543 TGTs and 567 Principals. The teachers had been invited to mark their preference for school and place of posting through the MIS portal of the Department. As many as 192 teachers who had not marked their preferences were urged over the telephone to give their options.

Dr. Khandelwal said that the State Government would organise two-day or three-day teacher welfare camps in all districts, so that they do not have to visit offices of the Department for redressal of their grievances. Senior officers of the Department would remain present in these camps, he added.
